Your Badass Journey Guest, Kelly Resendez

Kelly Resendez is the Founder of BigVoices Rise, the author of Big Voices: An Invitation To Women To Awaken, Increase Joy, Reduce Suffering And Think Differently, and the badass EVP at Paramount Partners Group.

Kelly is all about empowering people to make great decisions in order to build a fulfilled life – So, I had to have her on the show because we have such amazing alignment!

Kelly’s Journey to Consciousness

A series of unfortunate events in Kelly’s personal and professional life led to the realization that she had to change if she wanted a life that included fulfillment.

“So, my true journey has really been going on for about 15 years, but it wasn't until the last five or six years that I realized that the key was really figuring out how to experience joy and suffering simultaneously.” We can't avoid challenges with our kids, with markets changing, with parents aging, with siblings having challenges. We can't avoid them, but we can certainly build an unshakable mindset that will guide us through those situations.

When we're trying to integrate life and work, or income earning and goals, it all comes down to mindset and tools. As Kelly says, stress still happens. It's how you choose to react to it that matters.

“So many people believe that they can't have it all, and I'm always about sharing that we can create whatever possibility for our life, when we're willing to be vulnerable enough to ask for help.”

Big Voices: A Platform to Help

The mission of Kelly’s platform, BigVoices Rise, is to positively impact the lives of women by providing the tools and knowledge to think and respond differently, reduce suffering, increase joy, and become their true authentic self.

Kelly also wrote a book to help spread this mission even further, Big Voices: An Invitation To Women To Awaken, Increase Joy, Reduce Suffering And Think Differently.

She describes it as a “purpose project that allowed me to heal a lot of the areas that I needed to, and really just get out a lot of the preferred methods of self-sabotage that so many of us are going through.” But when she put that all out there and started sharing them with people, it was unbelievable how many people said, "I didn't realize how many other people were in that same boat."

So if you feel the same and you find those “little voices” are dictating how you feel and what you do – those voices that say we’re not smart enough, pretty enough, good enough – then pick up the book, reach out to a coach, or reach out to me or Kelly.

Together, we can let our Big Voices rise!
