129. Only You Can Define Your Self-Worth

It’s common for entrepreneurs—and anyone really—to struggle with doubt about self-worth.

In my own story, I was very career and money-driven; I saw money as freedom. Based on my earnings, I would find ways to invest in myself, and the more I did that, the more I saw an increase in my self-worth.

How can you, on a personal level and a business level, find a way to measure the worth and value that you contribute? That’s what we’re going to explore today.

How Do You Measure Your Self-Worth?

  • Find your metric for success and trace it back to your values: Is your goal to make revenue in your business so that you can make enough money to invest back into yourself and your employees?
  • You have to know your numbers and you have to know why you are doing what you are doing.
  • Clarify what would happen when you hit certain numbers: How will that transform your business?
  • You have to ask for what you are worth before you can hope to receive what you are worth.
